Why should I seal my pavers?

• Without sealing, pavers inevitably accumulate dirt and stains. Sun exposure gradually dulls their colors,  while oils and fluids seep into the pavers, making future removal efforts more challenging. Prolonged moisture exposure promotes the growth of mildew and algae, resulting in stains on the surface and between joints. Paver Sealing plays an essential role in maintaining and extending the life of your paver system. It acts as a protective barrier, enhances the color and adds structural stability to the pavers.

 

Does sealing prevent stains from my hardscapes?

 

• NO sealer is designed to stop stains entirely. They act as a barrier between your hardscapes and any natural or unnatural elements, allowing time for them to be cleaned.

 

How often should I have my pavers sealed?

 

• We recommend sealing every 3-5 years with proper maintenance in between.

 

How soon may I walk on my pavers after they have been sealed?

 

• The surface may be open to foot traffic at least 4 hours after being sealed. We recommend waiting until the next day for travertine surfaces.

 

How soon may I drive on my pavers after they have been sealed?

 

• The surface may be open to vehicle traffic 48 hours after the sealing process is complete. Avoid sharp turns to prevent tire marks.

What brand of sealer do you use?

 

• Paver Sealing Pinellas is committed to utilizing the finest quality sealers available from Trident Protects. We use Trident’s HURRICANE CAT 5, 2-part urethane sealer to protect your hardscapes and make maintenance easier for years to come.

How long does it take to clean, sand and seal?

• Depending on the size of the job and scope of work, 1 day is usually sufficient. Larger jobs may require multiple days.
